Black Friday doesn’t have to include middle-of-the-night shopping and getting smooshed in crowds. You can still shop for deals AND enjoy Christmas decorating in a day.
In my region of the country, music stations have been playing Christmas music since Nov. 2. (Seriously!)
Even though Thanksgiving still is a couple days away, I know Christmas is coming.
That means decorating, cookie baking and gift wrapping will soon begin. (Yay!)
It also means Christmas shopping has already begun.
Since I have an aversion to shopping in large crowds, I prefer to stay home on Black Friday. Some people love the rush and excitement, but I’d rather be at home snuggled in my warm bed.
I still like deals, though. And I can still find deals without the madness of Black Friday.
My secrets? Shopping early and shopping online.
I like to get things finished … for me, unfinished products add extra stress. So when I start decorating, I want to finish decorating. Because of my personal preference, I like to start and finish all my Christmas decorating in a day.
While I’m home on Black Friday, I’ll create one huge day of decorating to ring in the Christmas season. I’ve explained exactly how I decorate – from morning until night – on The Humbled Homemaker. (You can read about my strategy by clicking here.)
